But I hesitate to say you should ask the sales clerk which tackle is best for you unless you know they are an avid experienced fisherman. A lot of sporting goods stores hire sales clerks that have never been to the waters edge. If you want good advice you are better asking an experienced fisherman.

Keep your hooks from rusting.
Put a coating of permanent marker on your hooks and they won’t rust.

Wash off your scent.
Make sure you take some fish attractant with you to mask your scent to the fish.

Feed Your Nightcrawlers.
Give your nightcrawlers some coffe grounds before you go fishing. Also keep the cool in the refrigerator and then transfer to your icechest for the ride to your favorite fishing hole.
